There have been occurred a lot of inconveniences at general hospital for the patients because of delaying waiting time for drug administration caused by a large crowd of patients at this hospital. So, we were tried to investigate to improve the service of hospital pharmacy for patient as reducing waiting time for drug administration of possible. From the results of the survey of waiting time for drug administration, quantities of prescription acceptance and dispensary business, the time required for dispensing and prescription contents, the factors for delaying of waiting time for drug administration were appeared that the clinic departments, which was acquired long time for dispensing, were concentrated to specific day of week and time. Therefore, we could suggest that solving the problems of concentrating of prescriptions to specific time, reducing the time required for dispensing, using of automatic tablet counter(ATC) and computerization of hospital pharmacy were need for solving these problem.
